“Light, airy, open, modern perhaps even minimalist feel\u201d. These were the first words the client used to describe how he imagined the new project.<\/p>\n

In this penthouse in Barcelona\u2019s Eixample neighbourhood, \u200b\u200bone of the initial keys of the project was to eliminate divisions that prevented light and ventilation from entering all rooms.<\/p>\n

The design is characterized by a large box as a central element, with a oak panelling that divides the space into two areas, adapting to the structural composition of the building and separating the night areas from the day areas.<\/p>\n

In terms of distribution, a clear division is made between these areas, with more space given to the day area, rooms where the client spends most of his time. The kitchen serves as a transition space and is divided into two, the sink area in the wooden volume, and the cooking area in white lacquered wood so that the space seems larger. And finally, the night area, where we find the master with its en suite bathroom.<\/p>\n

In addition to wood, another material that gives it character is the green marble that was used to highlight all the existing gaps in the wooden space and the light grey micro-cement that unifies the entire floor. In the bathrooms, a combination of 2×2 tile pieces in aqua green and oak wood furniture was used.<\/p>\n

The dining room is a spacious, open, and neutral space, with a terrace and 180\u00ba views of Barcelona.<\/p>\n

Both the design and the choice of materials seek the well-being and comfort of the client and user.<\/p>\n
